Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth unite on stage. Impossible, you say?! Not quite. Swiss all-star Van Halen tribute outfit “Fun Halen” gives fans what they’ve been hoping for years: a mouth-watering mix of songs from the band’s heyday, packed into one explosive set and delivered with musical ability like it’s never been done before.
Guitar shredder extraordinaire Jonas Wolf (Eluveitie/Illumishade) proves he’s got what it takes, capturing the feel and musicality of all things “Eddie.” Singer/songwriter Tobey Lucas (Tobey Lucas Band) as the dazzling bon vivant David Lee Roth, alongside Gianni Pontillo (Nazareth) as the raspy-voiced Red Rocker Sammy Hagar, make the perfect fit. The pounding rhythm section featuring Pascal Luder on bass (Adrenaline 101) and Reto Wild on drums (Adrenaline 101) completes this total package.
On stage, this band is a force to be reckoned with. Their first show was packed to the rafters, with fans craving more long after load-out. Fun Halen gives you the best of both worlds, including all the classics from both the DLR as well as the Van Hagar era. From the hits “Jump” and “Panama” that defined an entire generation of rock fans, Fun Halen also brings die-hard favorites like “Unchained” and “Amsterdam” back to life.
